I'm glad somebody else loves jumping spiders too. In days gone by, I had one that lived on my kitchen window sill for many months. He kept me company while I did the dishes and, not coincidentally, kept the room pretty much free of flies. Imagine my consternation coming home after an evening out with my honey to find that the babysitter had emptied a can of insecticide on him. I think she'd even called her mother for the can, as I generally didn't keep it in the house. I felt like I was being poisoned in my own house for days.

Anyway, you captured his irridescence beautifully! He's quite the handsome creature.

I'm a little creeped out by spiders, but this one's just so dang cute. Great shots.

Thanks Gaia and Dave.

I had to take a lot of shots to get these...not exactly the best macro shooting conditions.

And these spiders are cute; very active and alert. They do spin silk but actively hunt prey rather than trap it in webs as do many spiders. They also have elaborate mating displays and I suspect the color plays into that.
