In the Image of God?

Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has an interesting article "Is Your Baby Gay?" on what our new knowledge of the biological basis of homosexuality might mean in terms of ethics. He is actually saying what I have feared some people might propose be done...namely do gene or hormonal therapy, if necessary prenatally, to eliminate or lessen the chance of an individual becoming homosexual. Among what I see as the theological contradictions in his article is this one:

"The biblical basis for establishing the dignity of all persons -- the fact that all humans are made in God's image -- reminds us that this means all persons, including those who may be marked by a predisposition toward homosexuality. For the sake of clarity, we must insist at all times that all persons -- whether identified as heterosexual, homosexual, lesbian, transsexual, transgendered, bisexual, or whatever -- are equally made in the image of God."
If this is correct, what's to change? At least both he and I can agree that fetuses that might be identified as homosexual (not sure a fetus CAN be homosexual) should not be aborted...but I suspect our arrival at that agreement is from very different positions.

It is appalling to me that Christians despite their own teachings telling them no to judge others are always judging. Homosexultiy is natural and beautiful as is all sexuality, and religion should embrace it as so. To want to change a person in the womb is no different then wanting to abort that child. If the child's sexuality is altered in the womb the original child in the womb has been killed and a completely different one put in its place. This cannot be allowed religious or not this is a crime against nature!
